Who we are

Nani Katha (nanikatha.com) is run by Tech Sahyogi Innoventure Pvt Ltd, a company in India (“we”, “us”). These terms are an agreement between us and you, the parent or guardian who uses or buys Nani Katha. Our details are on the contact page.

Who can use it

Nani Katha is a set of interactive story games for children aged 4 to 8, played with or under the eye of a parent or guardian. Only adults aged 18 or over can create an account or buy a plan. Children never buy anything, sign in or type anything to play.

Free stories and family plans

The first 2 stories are free to play, with no account. A family plan unlocks every story for one household, on any of its devices, plus new stories and languages while the plan is active.

Outside IndiaFounding-family yearly plan: $29 / year (the standard price later will be $39.99 / year), or $6.99 / month.
In India₹799 / year. The price includes GST.

The price you pay is shown before you pay. Payments are handled by Paytm (payments in India, including UPI Autopay and cards) and Stripe (payments outside India). Your card, UPI or bank details go straight to them; we never see or store them.

Automatic renewal

  • Your plan renews automatically at the end of each period (each year or each month) at the same price, until you cancel.
  • We email you 7 days before each yearly renewal.
  • If we ever change the price, we’ll email you at least 30 days before. The new price applies only from your next renewal, and you can cancel before it does.
  • If a renewal payment fails, we’ll email you. If it can’t be collected, the plan ends.

Cancelling and refunds

You can cancel any time: use the “Cancel renewal” button in your parent account, or email info@techsahyogi.com. There are no further charges, and you keep access until the end of the period you paid for.

You get a full refund if you ask within 14 days of any yearly payment, or within 14 days of your first monthly payment. The details are on our cancellation and refund page.

Your account

There are no passwords. You sign in with your email: we send a one-time sign-in link, valid for 30 minutes. The device you pay on is signed in automatically. Please keep your email account safe, because anyone who can read it can sign in to your plan. Tell us straight away if you think someone else is using it.

Fair use

A plan is for personal, non-commercial use by your own household. Please don’t copy, record, share, resell or redistribute the stories, art, voices or code, or show them to a paying audience, or try to get around the plan or break the site.

Our stories and art

The tales come from traditional sources: the Panchatantra, the Jataka tales and the Akbar–Birbal folk tales. Our retellings, text, art, characters, voices, music and games are our own work, and we (or the people who licensed them to us) own them. Buying a plan gives you the right to play them, not to own or reuse them.

Changes to the service

We keep improving Nani Katha. We may add, change or retire stories and features. We work hard to keep the site running, but we can’t promise it will always be available or free of errors, for example during maintenance or problems with the internet or our providers.

Children’s safety and privacy

We don’t collect personal information about children. How we handle parents’ information is explained in our privacy policy, which is part of these terms.

Our responsibility

Nani Katha is provided as it is. As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect or unexpected losses, and our total responsibility to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the problem.

Nothing in these terms takes away the rights you have as a consumer under the law where you live.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Kolkata have jurisdiction. Please contact us first; most problems can be fixed with an email.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we’ll update this page and the date at the top. If a change affects your plan in an important way, we’ll email you before it applies. If you don’t agree, you can cancel before the change applies.
